One interesting thing is the Y Chromosome as A3B2*. It passes down through the father--all the way back to your first ancestor. The interesting part is my dad was English, Scotch, Welsh, Irish but A3b2 is ancestry out of Africa. Specifically its one of the oldest haplogroups--traced back to a guy 90,000 years ago. There is some conjecture as to how that got to England with some theorizing that the Romans brought people from Africa who then intermarried with the local population. A3b2 from what I understand is also very rare in England generally--although there are quite a few with my surname.
The testing and studies have come a long way in terms of the interesting relationships they have found with various traits. It seems every month I check there is a new study. Some of the things here I knew about myself, but some of the others are good to know just in case. Also lots of propensity for arthritis, sugar metabolizing issues (had problems with this when I was 25-30 or so that required a massive diet adjustment) and some types of Cancer. Nothin freaky and I am generally happy with my genes.
How can you not be happy with them no matter what I suppose.
It's too big for my blog but I am hosting it at the link below via Filedropper.
Fun stuff.
